Kansas Family Partnership Prevention Awards Nomination DeadlineKansas Family Partnership is celebrating its 20th anniversary by hosting a Prevention Awards of Excellence Luncheon on March 29 at the Ramada Topeka Downtown Hotel & Convention Center! The event will recognize two decades of Kansas prevention efforts by honoring individuals and organizations that have made a difference at local, regional or state levels. The following awards will be presented at the luncheon:

Kansas Family Partnership Prevention Innovation Award
This award will recognize one individual and/or one organization that has taken a unique and creative approach to meeting local, regional or state prevention needs by implementing new strategies or modifying existing strategies to create more meaningful and impactful change.

Kansas Family Partnership Prevention Perseverance Award
This award will recognize one individual and/or one organization that has defied limitations to satisfy local, regional or state prevention needs by implementing strategies in the face of environment and resource constraints as well as resistance toward changes in social norms.

Kansas Family Partnership Prevention Dedication Award
This award will recognize one individual and/or one organization that has demonstrated commitment and investment toward local, regional or state prevention needs by providing consistent and dependable support not only for strategies implemented but audiences impacted.

Kansas Family Partnership Prevention Leadership Award
This award will recognize one individual and/or one organization that has started a movement to address local, regional or state prevention needs by taking initiative in recognizing issues as well as leading strategy development efforts, regardless of their position or role.

Kansas Family Partnership Prevention Collaboration Award
This award will recognize one individual and/or one organization that has created partnerships to focus on local, regional or state prevention needs by identifying common goals among constituents and selecting strategies that benefit the greater good of everyone involved.

Kansas Family Partnership Prevention Award of Excellence
This award will recognize one youth, one adult, one not for profit organization and one for profit organization that have demonstrated longevity, innovation, perseverance, dedication, leadership and collaboration in their work to help identify and implement strategies to address local, regional or state prevention needs.

KFP strongly encourages everyone to nominate youth, parents, businesses, schools, law enforcement agencies, civic and volunteer groups, healthcare professionals, government agencies or other entities that have demonstrated significant contributions toward the success of prevention in Kansas. If you know an individual or organization deserving of one of these awards, please submit a brief recommendation paragraph describing their efforts and why they should be recognized to KFP via email with “KFP Prevention Awards” in the subject line by February 1!
