Best Collaborative Community Project Award. Salina Area Prevention Partnership and Saline County Youth United – Salina.

Best School Activity/Elementary School. The plaque was awarded to Hesston Elementary School. Their theme was You Have the Power! Those receiving a certificate include: Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center, Students & Staff, Garden City; East Indianola and Lyman Elementary Schools, Topeka; Jennie Wilson Elementary School, Garden City; and Sterling Grade School.

Certificates for “First Time” Participation went to: Solomon Elementary School; Minneola Grade School; and Blue River Elementary in Overland Park.

Best School Project. The plaque was given to Sgt. Brad Moore, Anthony Police Department. Those receiving certificates included Burlington High School SADD; and Kenneth Henderson Middle School SADD, Garden City.

Best School Activity/Middle School. The plaque was given to Robinson Middle School, Topeka. Their theme was Walk Out On Drugs. Those receiving certificates include Clifton-Clyde Middle School; Edith Scheuerman Student Council, Garden City; Kenneth Henderson Middle School SADD, Garden City. Certificates for “First Time” Participation went to St. John’s Military School-Linger Middle School, Salina.

Best School Activity/Senior High. The plaque was given to South High School SADD Chapter, Salina. They used a different theme for each day of the week. Certificates of Recognition were presented to Clifton-Clyde High School Student Council; Burlington High School SADD Chapter; Lyons High School FCCLA; and Osage City High School Red Ribbon Committee.

Best School District Event. The plaque was awarded to Hesston USD 460. Certificates of Recognition were given to USD 361 Anthony; and USD 284 Chase.

Best Supporting Media-Newspaper. The plaque was given to the Anthony Republican newspaper, Larry Dunn, Editor. Their theme was Run Your Own Life. Certificates of Recognition were given to: J.J. Hensley, Garden City Telegram; Hesston USD 460 school newspaper; and Becky Reeves, Coffee County Republican, Burlington.

Best Supporting Media-Radio. The plaque was given to KJIL Christian Radio Station, Garden City.
Best Supporting Media-Television. The plaque was given to KMBC Channel 9-TV, Kansas City. A Certificate of Recognition was given to WDAF Television, Overland Park.

Faith-based Community Activity. The plaque was given to Mennonite Brethren Church, Hesston. Their theme was 5th Quarter/CHOICES: Decide Now.

Faith-based Community Project. The plaque went to United Methodist Churches Kansas West Conference Board of Laity (May 2004). Certificates of Recognition were given to Trinity United Methodist Church, Salina; and Anthony United Methodist Church.

Red Ribbon Story of Hope Video Award. The plaque was given to Ell-Saline Elementary School, Amber Fouard’s 6th Grade Class.
