Kansas Youth Leadership Summit (KYLS)

August 1st - 3rd, 2010
Rock Springs 4-H Center
Junction City, Kansas

TEAM ACTION BUILDS SUCCESS (TABS)

KFP coordinates an annual Youth Leadership Summit on underage drinking that is free to youth and adults. The Summit provides teams an opportunity to practice leadership skills and develop an action plan for their communities. Action plans will focus on reducing underage drinking and encouraging the use of safety belts.

Teams must consist of 6 to 8 students who are incoming freshman, sophomores and juniors (no seniors), and two adult sponsors, such as a community volunteer, coalition member, or a Regional Prevention Center staff member.

To be selected for the Summit, teams must complete Application Form-A and will be evaluated by a statewide committee whose decisions are based on the team’s ability to demonstrate community/school collaboration and on the responses to the questions on the registration form.
