TEAM ACTION BUILDS SUCCESS!
KFP coordinates an annual Youth Leadership
Summit on underage drinking that is free to youth and adults. The
Summit provides teams an opportunity to learn about the issues, practice
leadership skills and develop action plans for their communities. All teams will consist of 8 members = 6 youth and 2 adults. Youth members must be high school students in their freshman, sophomore,
or junior year of school.
Attention! New Requirement in 2008...
Teams must now have two adults: Preference will be given to teams who are comprised of one adult sponsor and either a community volunteer, coalition member, or a Regional Prevention Center staff member.
To be selected for the Summit, teams must
complete an application form and will be evaluated by a statewide
committee whose decisions are based on the team’s ability to demonstrate community/school collaboration and on the responses to the questions on the registration form.
